Welcome to ADVrider’s Photos of the Week. We begin with a nice featured photo by @wwildbill73, who says he rode to central Arkansas a couple of weeks ago with some buddies after the trails in Houston, Texas, were flooded. We like this photo because its components are nicely arranged, and it lets us feel the environment.

Wwildbill73 sent several pictures from that outing, and they follow. He says, “Central Arkansas, north of Clarksville, has lots of good back roads and trails (Mill Creek OHV), but for some the water crossing took its toll.”

“Always good when a big group survives with no major incidents.”

There and back

It was a great spring ride, says @GuzziKarl, when he rode his 2023 Kawasaki KLX 230S from Syracuse, New York, to Erie, Pennsylvania, a few days ago, to pick up a new motorcycle. Honouring the Kawasaki, it was 230 miles along Rte 20, but when he arrived, he traded it in on a 2013 Hond 500X, which he rode home on along Rt 6 and some backroads, covering 400 miles in temps of 60 – 93°. Below, the Kinzu Dam, and following picture, Peninsula Isle Park, both with the Honda.

And here is the Kawasaki on the Seneca Reservation, celebrating the good things in life.

Down by the park

Here is the 2021 KTM 890 Adventure that @Nytrainer rode a few days ago “down the backside of Letchworth State Park in western New York state.

It was, he says, “a perfect spring day for a ride.”

Carry-on luggage

That’s an American Tourister suitcase bungee-corded and roped to the 2010 BMW R1200 GS that @AdvSpkr’s buddy rode in Argentina a few years ago. We’ll let him tell the story: “My friend and I just got down to Mendoza, Argentina, for the RawHyde Dakar Rally ride, and flight delays and baggage complications resulted in us arriving without our gear. The group and sag wagon departed and we waited 2 full days until our gear arrived. I was able to load everything on my bike but my buddy had a huge American Tourister suitcase that he just attached with rope and bungee cords and we were off to chase down our group.”

Backroads adventure

Here is the 2013 BMWS R1200 GS that @Mymotovation rode a few days ago on the “beautiful backroads of northwest New Hampshire.” He says Newfound Lake in the background is “a sight to see,” and a “perfect spot to take in the breathtaking views.” We couldn’t agree more.

And that’s a wrap for this week’s POTW. We hope you enjoyed the little tour, and we hope you’ll come back for more next week. Got pictures for us? Click the link below!
