Motorcycle movies are a rare thing in your average theater, and good motorcycle movies are even more rare. As in, almost non-existent. This week, host Neil Graham and ADVrider managing editor Zac Kurylyk team up to discuss The Bikeriders, the new Hollywood film that’s showing in theaters all over the US and abroad right now. And they ask: Is it honest?

Neil’s perspective here is particularly helpful as he’s both a filmmaker, and old enough to remember the tail end of the era portrayed in The Bikeriders—and he’s also met Danny Lyon, the photographer whose book this film was based on. Zac’s had a copy of the book on his shelf for a long time too, and together they discuss whether or not this film actually works, and also dive into other motorcycle films, or films with riding scenes, that inspired them.
